Introduction is a solution for alerting and incident resolution. We provide ease of use, high availability and flexibility. There is no cost for deployment and activation is instant. is used to send alarm to operational personell in case your IT systems show signs of error. It is easy to include triggering alerts from either

  • your monitoring solution, like, e.g., Nagios or Icinga
  • your cloud monitoring solution, or
  • directly from your application.

For each incident you can define a series of actions, like sending mail, sending text messages to mobile phones, or even send voice messages to phones. It is also possible to keep customers or managers updated and informed, by having them informed about resolution of open incidents.

You have several possibilities to deal with incidents:

  • You can acknowledge incidents.
    While this does not mark them as resolved, you provide a signal to others that this incident is being worked at.
  • You can resolve incidents manually.
    This will mark the incident as being solved, so business may proceed as usual.
  • You can close incidents.
    Sometimes, an incident requires additional effort to be done after resolving it. You can mark this milestone by closing an incident.

As you might want to know, what the current incident is about, you should create different services with appropriate names. The following example shows a service, which is triggered when a web page has problems.

Depending on the criticality of your services, it makes sense to have different escalation schemes.

Currently we support the following integration methods:

  • Web Hooks; also known as: REST-API
  • Mail Hooks

URLs and Mails

In order to integrate your monitoring system, you can make use of the URLs as depicted in the configuration screen. Please refer to the documentation of your monitoring system for more specific details on integration steps.

There is no difference, if you send your alerts by Web or Mail.

Please note that, while it is possible to use the displayed URLs from a web browser, we recommend to only use them from scripts, tools or monitoring solutions.

Alerts and Escalations

If you have different systems to monitor, you might involve different persons in your escalations and notifications. We support this with escalation schemes.

In addition to providing you with a name, escalation schemes have several useful properties:

  • Automatic Resolve triggers, if an incident is not resolved by either your monitoring solution or an operator. You can then choose to resolve issues automatically -- just enter a number of seconds larger than zero. On the other hand, if you need to continue alerting until an issue is resolved, just set this value to -1.
  • Automatic Close works like its resolving counterpart.

Escalation Scheme

You can add "steps", which are placeholders for your notifications settings. In this example,

  • notifications are sent directly when an incident is triggered.
  • 10 minutes, after the incident has been triggered -- if it has not been resolved
  • finally, when the incident is resolved

There is no limit in the number of steps that you can use for your schemes.


As a further means to keep your systems structured and healthy, offers you to create different workspaces/projects and also invite your friends, co-workers or other helpful people.

At the top right corner of your screen you can always see, which project you're currently working in. If you click this, you will get to an overview of projects, where you can switch the current project, browse around or create new projects.

It is easy to invite other users to a project: in the configuration section of the project you can add friends by typing their mail address and thus inviting them to participate.
